PROGRAM CYCLE
Global UGRAD Receiving Institutions
Please find below a timeline of the Global UGRAD program cycle for U.S. receiving institutions.

Apply
November – January
Institutions apply for Global UGRAD student placements for the following academic year. For example, institutions that apply from November 2024 – January 2025 and are ultimately selected would welcome Global UGRAD students to their campus for the fall 2025 and/or spring 2026 term(s).U.S. Institution Selection
March – April
World Learning may contact you with clarifying questions about your application as it sets the institutional roster for the upcoming year. World Learning notifies institutions of whether they are selected.
Student Placement Notification
May
World Learning initially matches receiving institutions with Global UGRAD student finalists to create a best-fit match based on available majors, minimum TOEFL or Duolingo scores, and other factors. Receiving institutions can view matched students’ application materials (including their TOEFL or Duolingo scores) in the online Global UGRAD Host Portal and confirm student admissions. World Learning then works with host institutions to finalize an agreement that outlines all terms and conditions. Once students are accepted to their U.S. institution, campuses can communicate directly with students.
Pre-Arrival Logistics
June – July
World Learning delivers a training session for all participating host institutions to learn about specific program activities and requirements. World Learning coordinates with all host institutions to finalize student arrival logistics, including securing on-campus housing, completing course enrollment, and arranging airport transfers to campus.
